Bundling expertise: 5 years of cooperation between digitalwerk & XKRUG
digitalwerk can call the Starnberg-based company XKRUG a partner from the very beginning. Since the beginning of 2017 – shortly after digitalwerk was founded – the cooperation with the specialist for hardware in the field of measurement data collection has existed. In the first few years, the cooperation was still mainly based on XKRUG reselling high-quality software solutions as a sales service provider, which were based on the digitalwerk product ADTF (Automotive Data & Time Triggered Framework).
Hardware and software from a single source
In the course of last year, however, the two deep-tech specialists agreed to bundle their competences even more and to intensify their cooperation. And so digitalwerk and XKRUG now appear together on the market as a system provider and can offer OEMs as customers a complete solution in the field of measurement data technology and collection. digitalwerk contributes its competences in the field of software development, while XKRUG concentrates on the field of hardware (e.g. data loggers, in-car PCs) and is closer to the users.
“Bundling our expertise definitely makes sense,” says Michael Lübbeke, one of the two managing directors of digitalwerk. “This way, our customers get hardware and software solutions from a single source,” he continues. Coordination difficulties and problems during implementation can thus be avoided, says Lübbeke. The customer thus gets an “all-round carefree package” and has less organisational effort, explains the Managing Director.
First joint trade fair appearance
The partnership with XKRUG is to be continued in any case: “We are proud of this long-standing cooperation and hope for at least another five years,” Lübbeke summarises with a wink.
By the way: digitalwerk and XKRUG will make their first joint trade fair appearance at the Automotive Software Strategies Conference 2022 in Munich at the end of April (more details to follow).
