Connecta 2018

“Why autonomous driving is failing?” – our appearance at CONNECTA 2019

Just like last year, we will again be represented with an exhibition stand at CONNECTA in 2019. This year, we are even expanding our trade fair presence to include an exciting lecture for students. Under the title “Why autonomous driving is failing”, our CTO Tobias Schmid will highlight the challenges of software development in the megatrend “autonomous driving”.

On Wednesday, 23 October 2019, we will present ourselves as an exhibitor at stand G22 at CONNECTA at the OTH in Regensburg. Our employees will give deep insights into the startup digitalwerk and illustrate our projects with practical examples: let us explain the software framework ADTF (link), a framework for the development of driver assistance functions, on a 1:8 scale model car. Our recruiter will also answer all your questions about the application process, job vacancies, employee benefits and digitalwerk’s corporate philosophy. In advance, you can get an overview of our vacancies here.

This year, however, we will not only be there with our trade fair stand: Our CTO Tobias Schmid will also be giving a talk entitled “Why autonomous driving is failing”. The talk will take place in the Mechanical Engineering Building on Galgenbergstraße in room D001 on Wednesday, 23 October 2019 from 14:15 – 14:45. The digitalwerk managing director will discuss why production-ready products in the field of autonomous driving are still a long time coming, despite already existing technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. You will also learn what is so complex in software development for autonomous driving in the lecture. Be curious and come along! It’s worth it.

We look forward to welcoming you to CONNECTA at our stand G22 and to seeing many listeners at our lecture. See you!
