Increasing variety of software variants in cars – digitalwerk keeps things in order

The increasing customer orientation of car manufacturers leads to a successively growing variety of software variants in today’s vehicles. The wide range of different variants leads to difficult handling in software development. For this reason, we have developed a concept for our customer Audi that greatly reduces the complexity of managing the many different variants.

Our software tool starts right at the beginning of the development process by documenting and analyzing the diversity of variants in detail. Using innovative analysis tools, we check the plausibility and validity of the software variants used from a confusing amount of data. Thanks to our software tool, not only has the complexity in managing the different variants been reduced. The tool also enables exact tracking of the different variants.
