Review of three years of ADTF – benchmark among ADAS software frameworks
Since 2016, digitalwerk has been involved in the development of the ADAS software framework ADTF (Automotive Data and Time-Triggered Framework). At the beginning of 2017, the software development company from Regensburg received the exclusive ADTF distribution and development license from Audi Electronics Venture GmbH. Today, digitalwerk looks back on the most important milestones of the past years in the development as well as in the distribution of the software framework.
Automotive Data and Time-Triggered Framework – ADTF for short – is a software framework for the development of intelligent driver assistance systems by Audi Electronics Venture GmbH. The unique selling point of ADTF is the time-synchronous processing of multiple sensor data streams. The driver assistance and safety functions programmed in the development platform can be easily visualized and tested virtually at the desk thanks to the integrated test environment. Developments such as adaptive cruise control, gesture controls, adaptive cornering lights and predictive pedestrian protection have emerged from the software framework. The software framework is used by German premium car manufacturers and TIER1 suppliers.
Since 2017, the Regensburg-based software development company digitalwerk has been the exclusive holder of the distribution and development license for ADTF. Due to its agile development approach, the specialist for tools and frameworks has regularly launched new releases of the automotive software framework over the past two years. With a specially created support platform and practice-oriented training courses, the software company from Regensburg offers a comprehensive range of services for trouble-free function development in ADTF. In the context of license sales of ADTF, digitalwerk has built up a strong, international network of sales partners with the companies Elektrobit, XKRUG, ETAS and TTTech. The more than 8,000 active licenses are mainly used in Europe.
